• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turns off

I have a 2020 600 Ryker. I’ve noticed a couple times that if I’m setting still, and leave it running, it will turn off. I thought I read in the owners manual someplace, that this was normal. Can’t find it anymore, is there anything that you can do so it won’t do this, I’m afraid at a long traffic light it might do it sometime. Thanks

It shuts down after 3 minutes of no activity. Just a little blip of the throttle is all it needs.

As long as you don't have the parking brake on, it shouldn't shut off. As poli said, it is program to shut down after 3 minutes with parking brake in.

After further research, the situation is related to the charging system. If battery voltage falls below 12.5 volts for 2 minutes, the engine increases 1000 rpm. This resets on throttle input. Also, to minimize idle running when vehicle is not in motion, the motor will shutdown by itself after 3 minutes (once engine operating temperature is reached) with no foot on the brake.

This has happen to me as well. I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic in NYC, I put the parking brake on, sat there idling. After little while bike shut off. I was worried, something might happen, but it stated no problem. Then I release the parking brake, sat there idling never shut off. Once I got home, I let it idle in driveway with the parking brake on. Within few minutes bike shut off. Now if I am in traffic or if I want bike to warm up until I get ready, I don't put my parking brake on.

I know it's the term used but the Ryker doesn't have a "parking brake". The lever you move locks the transmission and has nothing to do with the brakes.
