• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn signal sticking

I have a turn signal button that tends to stick in the right turn location, can I put lubrication, like silicone in the switch area?:bowdown::popcorn::popcorn:

I used WD40 on my 2013 in 2014 and it has worked flawlessly ever since. Used the hose to get it past the rubber into the mechanism. Hold a rag underneath to catch the excess oil dripping out the bottom. The contacts are sealed so it will not affect anything electrical. You're just lubing the mechanism.

:agree: ..... However I would use the Silicone type,...... that is a lubricant that should last longer than WD-40............Mike

JThornton did a little bit of "massaging" with a fine file on his switch...
Why not PM him, and get the details?

What year, and is there warranty coverage? The one on my 2013 RT started sticking. The left hand switch module was replaced under warranty.

Mine is a 2013, I will check and see the next time I am at the dealers. Thanks to all.

Mine on our 14 is also sticking, but I will try the spray lub first before I send the $50 deductible under the BEST warranty to have it replaced.

Carrier...

When using silicone based lubes you'll want to make sure what is used to carry the silicone doesn't attack plastic or rubber. I had some that did a little bit.

I had the same problem - my dealer replaced the entire left hand cluster under warranty. It was after the B.E.S.T. had kicked in, so it cost me $50, but given the cost of the part plus labor, my B.E.S.T. has pretty much paid for itself!

:D I just make sure to push straight in on the switch, with my left thumb...
When the switch is stuck pushing it in doesn't turn off the blinking. A stuck switch stays in either the left or right position and doesn't return to center.

But yes, one has to be careful pushing it in as it is sure easy to push it to right turn position!

The best thing to use is electrical contact spray. But you have to take the switch out spray it down good and work it back and forth to clean all the goo out of the switch. WD40 is not good for anything electrical and it will over time eat the plastic up on the switch. So be very careful using wd40
