• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn signal led lights

I guess you get used to it.
I have a different setup for the turn signals (arrows on the mirrors) but I also replaced the red reflectors at the rear of the front wheels with LEDs.
The first time I went out at night, it was a horrible distraction.
Now, I no longer pay any attention to them.

As always, my free advice comes with a double your money back guarantee.

Pete,
I am particularly sensitive to light... and the lack thereof!
(53 years of Diabetic Retinopathy, and a detached retina.)
I noticed the location of the lights immediately. nojoke
But it doesn't mean that it's a problem for him...
His bike: his call!

I don’t quite get that comment, Bob. It goes without saying that it is Russ’ bike and Russ’ call:dontknow:
At no stage have I said that the lights are a problem for Russ, or that the placement was wrong, or that they should be relocated.:dontknow:

All I have done is highlight a potential issue that I personally came across and that may impact others if they place the LEDs on top of the mirrors. Using the indicators at night created a real safety issue for me at the end of a long days riding, so a quick night check should be done to ensure that others are comfortable with the “above the indicators” placement before adhering the LEDs. Once the LEDs are stuck down, they are very hard to remove and relocate.

I appreciate everyone’s comments. Like Three Wheeler I put the red led lights on the bottom of my front fender. They were very bright. I also got used to them.
My first thought on the led mirror mounted turn signals was will affect my mirror usage.
As I live in Northeast Ohio a road test won’t be for awhile.

Hahaha....great guarantee, ThreeWheels:thumbup::D. Yeah, you soon get used to constant light. It was the on/off of the indicators in my face (the top of the mirrors are pretty high) that affected my night vision ;).

Night riding question answered!!

Today I took my Spyder out for the first ride of the year. Had a great time. Wind therapy was badly needed. I just got home from taking it out in the dark. The led lights mounted a n top of the mirror caused no problems with visibility or using the mirror. So no problem at all. I lucked out for sure. I work at n my own bikes and this is the first time I have done something completely wrong. IE mounting the lights on the top of the mirrors on Nostradamus of the bottom and outside edge. Alls well that ends well.

turn signal led lights

I couldnt really see them unless I moved them to the aft most portion of the mirror housing, then all went well. I also used duck tape inside to control the wires. Just used little strips to stop anything from moving around. I also installed magic mirrors. Wonderful and easy to install. Mirrors come off so nicely now.
