• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS

I put up with not being able to see if my turn signals were on or not long enough!
I hauled myself down to the local Walmart and got a pair of blue LED Micro Lights by
Auto Drive for about $9.00 (a lot cheaper than the auto parts stores around town)
and hooked them up to my turn signals and mounted the LEDs on each side of the
key surround. They are bright and work without causing any problems. I am now
a happier camper!!

Great solution....

I did a similar thing with some single dots on each side of the dash and tapped into the turnsignals. Mine are green...:roflblack: but I now know which one is on...

Turn signal indicators

Sorry guys, no pictures. It is a straight forward procedure. There is enough wiring from the signals to bring the
connectors in reach. I disconnected everything and hooked my micro lights to the cable going out to the indicators.
Reconnect everything and try your turn signals. If your micro light does not work, just reverse the wiring. They will be bright, especially at nite. I may wind up relocating them so that do not shine directly into my eyes.

I agree with everyone above. A picture paints a thousand words! Just a pic of the end result is all we want!

WINPLUS Type S LED Kit

I purchased an 8" kit from Autozone. That 8" is actually 2 4" LED strips with 6 LEDs per strip. 3M adhesive tape strip, 2x24" of Hardwire cables... Will install on lower edge of mirrors tomorrow morning and post pictures.

Another use for that kit

Funny you should mention that kit from "Auto Zone". I just purchased that kit yesterday except I used it for TRUNK LIGHTS. The kit comes complete with a momentary on push-button switch so you can try it and see what it looks like in the store. I changed out the switch for a miniature toggle switch and mounted the system in my trunk. NO MORE FIDDLING AROUND trying to find something! I put a strip on each side pointing down, cut the wires to fit and voila! Let there be light! I'll figure out something for the turn signals later.....

Turn signal indicators

Still no pics! I be trying but between my brain, my phone camera and this posting, nothing
seems to wish to connect. When I do figure it out i will post a couple of pics of the bright
blue indicator lights.
