• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn signal dissatisfaction

The turn signal switch on my recently purchased 2015 se5 st limited does not cancel when you push in on the switch. Only 3980 miles on this bike. Anyone else have this issue?:banghead:r

:welcome:
Question: Are you 100% sure that you're pushing straight in on it? :dontknow:
I'm not meaning to insult you; these switches can be a bit finicky about their inputs.
We've heard of some failures: worst-case scenario, is that you'd need to replace it. :banghead:
 Sorry...

I was having the same problem it turned out to be a short between the seat and the turn signal switch. In computer term it was called an "oh 3" error. The short was me.

Even when the switch works properly, it is the worst turn signal switch on any motorcycle I've driven since the 70's.... How did they find that switch????? They must have purchased a quarter million of them and haven't run out of inventory yet. I've often wondered if anyone has ever swapped out a switch in then left handlebar console?

If its still under warranty, let the dealer deal with it. I have experienced "finiky" switches on pretty much all of the spyders that I have owned. Since my newest is now three years old--I have learned to live with it.

Yes, there was a warranty fix for a dodgy indicator switch on the 13 ST. They replaced left hand switch block.

Agreed. Why put such a short, hard to access switch on there? Irritating. Reminds a lot of most of the ergonomics on these things. Quirky designs at best. Frunk opening with the key is dumb, would it kill them to have a latch like the saddlebags? Gas cap design is awkward, nowhere to push down on the cap to close it because the key cannot be removed. Who approves these things?
Yeah i know, i know, ive been blasted before, if i dont like it just sell it. Smh. I still like the Spyder, just wish the ergos were more user friendly.
