• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Loving my 2014 RT
we will be at Spyderfest

Im a bit slow on some things. I can't figure out how to use the helmet holders under the seat. We have an Arai and a Showi full face helmet and the straps are just too short.
any ideas?

Hi Greg!
Those holders are a...
...joke!
If you can get some of those "helmet hangers"; the Tee-Bar, with a loop on the other end... they can work.
But... you need one that's on a loop of cable.
It's probably possible to assemble one that would work

Helmet holders DIY

Go to a well stocked fishing supply store. Buy yourself the heaviest plastic coated fishing leader line that you can work with. Theft get the crimping sleeves that NGO to the size of cable that you selected.

There are two ways to make your cables up;

1/. One big loop. Slid the crimp sleeve on one end then move. It to the end and slide the other end in and crimp securely. To use take the cable and squeeze it together and push it through the D-Rings and pull it through the open end of the loop and place that end on the helmet hook.

2/. Same drill almost except you use two sleeves, make two (2) smaller loops. Push one end through the D-Rings and thread it through the left open eyelet and hook it over the helmet hook.

Shut the seat and walk away from.ll

You can make a couple of extension loops from a couple of long zipties. Make a loop, slip it through the helmet D-ring, and hook both loose ends over the hook. You can male a fancier extension from some lightweight aircraft cable. Make a loop at each end, crimp down the couplers, and off you go. Same sort of thing with the fishing leader mentioned earlier. I'm surprised you Arai straps are too short. Ours work fine it you fasten the strap with about an inch free of the D-ring. Tight closing the seat, but very secure.

Ask a Gold wing rider if you can find one Many Wing people use a extension that goes over the hooks on the back of a wing. I used them on my ST1100 on trip when the bags were full.
The ones they sell are chrome, but they are T shaped with a hole in the narrown end of the T that goes over the Spyder hook. The narrow part will go thru the D ring on the helmet. Then close the seat
Rivco, which is or used to be anyway a sponsor on here might have them on line
Good Luck
