• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

As the title says, I want to remove these guages and install usb doohickeys. I got the section of the dash loosened and was surprised by the stuff behind the gauges. Couldnt get that loose. Thought it would just be some wires.

Looked through all the diy and shop talk posts and got no help.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have 14 RT so they are very similar ..... BRP is cheap on the amount of wire they use .... so it's very tight under the Dash surround .... I used needle nose pliers to undo the connections .... if you have an ANGLED pair it's even easier...... good luck.... Mike

Technology has changed so much since then. I recommend you talk to a high school student. Seriously, every school in the drafting lab has a 3D printer. It would take them 10 minutes to draw and 1.5 hours to print both total. The cost should be nothing and it gives them a real world design experience. If not it might be fun for you. You can design your own on say a baby cad program called Tinkercad. It is free. Then send it away to a company to print. It cheap.

I have the BASIC RT from 2014 .... It didn't have those Aux. gauges it came equipped with OEM plastic covers that popped off .... You might still be able to get them from BRP or after-market like cheap cycle parts.com ..... good luck .... Mike

Pierre from Spyder Accessories, https://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/, has a video somewhere in his web site in which he shows how to remove the dashboard. Although he's a little quicker with cutting plastic than I would be he does show how to get some more maneuvering room by cutting some zip ties that ars installed during assembly of a Spyder.
