• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Daytona has a SACHS[SUP][/SUP] Twin-Tube Shock Absorber / 5.2 in (132 mm)

The 2015 F3-S rear shock as listed as a SACHS monoshock 5.2 in (132mm)

(The above specs are readily available online from BRP)

So, they appear to be possibly different shocks but the Daytona spec doesn't mention anything about pneumatic preload so I would guess that it is a fixed adjustment shock? I own a 2015 F3-S and just about anything would be an improvement over the original shock. I went with the BRP Occasional 2-Up shock which adds an extra 3 coils over the shock (from 6 to 9) but in hindsight probably should have considered something like an Elka Stage 2. Something that would have some adjustability (preload/rebound) as compared to the BRP stock shock. However, that being said, the difference in money is about x3 plus to upgrade to a state-of-the-art rear shock.

From the pictures I've seen it looks like the same one from 2015. The weedy spring gives it away. I mistakenly thought BRP were fitting the 'occassional 2 up' shock from MY 2016 onwards but doesn't look like it.

Wierdly, the only Daytona at a dealer in the UK does appear to have upgraded suspension all round but I've yet to find out what it is:

Doesn't seem to be standard as the other ones I've seen for sale in Europe don't have these shocks.
