• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

TRUNK LIGHT...revised

Now I know what I am going to do with that white LED strip I have laying around in my garage. I didn't even think of that. You could even incorporate a momentary switch (like a fridge light) so it turned on automatically when you opened the trunk.

just about exactly what I'm about to do. But I am with Spydergirl, I am going to do a momentary switch so it comes on when you pop the trunk

Very cool! But, if I open the truck in the dark, I will just use the switch on the right of the bars that shines the headlights into the truck. :)

Tis great for looking at the stuff on top,,, but, how do you use both hands and still keep the light on, without using tape?:joke:

Small Maglite in the pocket in the trunk liner, turn it on, stick it in your mouth if you need both hands. Works for me! Also useful for looking at other places on the Spyder, or for finding what you dropped on the ground. Try to do that with a dedicated trunk light.

Bingo! And, it would be wise for all of us take this good bit of advice. I have thought about that, myself. If you get out somewhere at night, and have a flat, or some other issue, having a little flashlight might come in real handy!

Thanks Scotty!

I have one of those flashlights that don't need batteries, you just wind it up. Those are perfect to keep in the trunk of vehicles for emergencies.
