• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We cut the trip short by one day (eight instead of nine) and after getting home and unpacking, I had to run the mileage numbers. With 2225 miles of varying driving, i.e. interstate, gently rolling country roads, steep mountain climbs, high-speed twisty runs, and the gentle cruising of the Blue Ridge Parkway, my average MPG is a whopping 34.27. The highest mileage was 38.89 and the lowest was 30.43.

This is a significant increase in mileage that I can only attribute to J.T.'s breather mod. ..Don

P.S. There is definitely a power increase as well.

Good to know..!!

have JT's air filter system and love it. Gave up on the whole mileage thing a long time ago..just gas her up then run till shes dry. So having a record is great I like the added pep...thanks..!! :2thumbs::ohyea::ohyea:

That sounds like some good riding. I can't wait to get back to Maggie Valley again and ride in the mountains.

I should have them back in stock sometime Monday. I see UPS tracking puts them in Poplar Bluff.

I agree, fill her up and run. The mileage was not going to stop me but it is a measure of optimizing the ride. I was impressed that the control module could adjust to the intake change and provide a noticeable difference in performance. Increased torque and better fuel mileage is a win-win.

I will add that traveling at 70+ on a stretch of ever-increasing elevation is deafening. It's funny but I don't remember how loud the Spyder was before the upgrade, under the same conditions. Anyone willing to let me drive their non-modified ride? ;)

Air intake noise

Is it any louder with this mod installed?
Someone posted awhile back that they added a foam ring around the filter to reduce the intake noise. Could not find that post but it seems they did a number of modifications. If anyone has experience with this I would like to hear (no pun intended) the results.
