For all of you that missed the earlier posts about the Triple Play units here is what it is....

The Triple Play unit converts the stock rear turn signals to Super Bright Red Genesis LEDs and allows them to function as additional tail lights and brake lights as well as retain their full directional functions.

The new production units now also allow the user to choose between having the brake light function be a steady on when the brakes are applied or the have the turn signals flash 4 times then remain steady on to further enhance the visibility and safety.

Here is a video of an early prototype unit Lamonster has on his bike. Received as promised and installed. First long trip today - BIG difference in conspicuity! The brake flashing is a nice touch. The Spyder is much more visible on the road than with just the stock taillight!

Thanks Magic. Deb and I finally got all of our different lighting upgrades from you installed last night. Those Triple Plays are awesome! We have some video of them that we hope to get edited, YouTube'd and posted today. Being we previously had the Evoluzion brake light kit installed on our Spyders, we were able to get comparison shots of stock vs. Evoluzion brake light kit vs. Triple Play. Deb and I both really like the flashing mode on the Triple Plays and that is how we set ours. The LEDs look great and bright!

It's always nice to hear kind things back about our our products.

The first Triple Play was made just for my Spyder because I felt the small tail lights in the center did not offer enough visibility on a machine this size, and getting rearended is not fun at all.

At first we had no plans to sell it, then I sent Lamonster one for his Spyder so he too would have a better chance out there. Once he put the Youtube thing up the people just about demanded we start making it, so here it is.

When I designed the production units I also knew that studies have shown the flashing brake light gets peoples attention multiple times more than just a static light coming on. So, I designed in that safety feature as well.

I hope all these Street Magic Cycle Products help add to your safety and enjoyment when out on your Spyders!

Hey MagicMan, after spending some time riding behind dltang with the Triple Plays and Genesis pucks, is there a way to replace the stock stop light bulbs with Genesis pucks also? The Gensis pucks in the turn signal lights overpower the brake lights.

Unfortunately not. The brake light bulbs are a monitored system for the main computer. A change to LEDs would show up as not enough current draw and the computer would think the bulb was out. it would then trigger both a check engine light and limp mode.

That is why we came up with this system with the Genesis LEDs for our own bike, because the stock tail lights are so lame.

Just curious Evan, do you think there is any connection between my light add ons and my check engine light coming on? It has never done it before and you mentioned it about the other bulbs. I am going to the dealership tomorrow to get it checked out. Thanks in advance for any info that would help.
