Triple Play issues

Today I noticed that the LED puck on my left side signal light has three maybe four LED's that do not work. I have only had the triple play for about a month and I am now concerned with the longevity of this unit. Has anyone had similar problems? With three or four LED'S unlit on one side it is quite noticeable.:dontknow:

Why don't you contact Magic man first, I am sure he will back his product

Please remember that Evan is at Sturgis (or on his way), so you might not be able to contact him for a few days. We're all sure that he'll take good care of you...this is obviously not a usual occurance...

I have most all of Evan's/ESI's/NMN's LEDs and they all work great...don't stress...Evan will make it right for you...

Took your advice. A nice lady (think her name was Pat) shipped a new one out to me today; after explaining the problem. I also got a PM back from Magic Man stating that there is no problem, and they would send a replacement ASAP. These are good folks and a pleasure doing business with.:thumbup::thumbup:

Every once in awhile there will be an LED that goes out and being they are in groups of 4 then all 4 go out.

Could be an LED, a resistor,or even a solder joint as there are 60 of those on each 1.25 puck. :shocked:

Try as we may, anything made by man will have a problem every once in awhile. :yikes:

We installed two sets of Triple Plays last year. One puck had 4 LEDs out, we called and Magic Man sent out the replacement puck the same day. They've been working good ever since. One thing about a number of electronic products is that any manufacturing defects usually show up rather early once the product is put into use. If it don't break in the first few uses, it'll probably last a long time. Things like these pucks, if they work good for a few weeks, they should work good for the rated life of the components. I'm guessing that is at least a few years.

These have a "Lifetime Warranty" to the original purchaser so there never is a worry as long as you keep the recept. :2thumbs:

The rated half-life of these LEDs is 100,000 hours of use. That is not when they will go out, but rather when their light output will be reduced by 50%. So the running time for these Genesis LEDs is HUGE. :thumbup:

So I should emend my post to say they should last for a few hundred years..... :2thumbs:

Nope, even though the stickum is over the entire back of the puck, the points of contact are small. Just enough to hold the puck firmly in place but not enough to make it difficult to remove.
