• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trip to Corbin, Hollister, CA

A friend and I left last Wednesday for Hollister, CA to have my new Corbin seat and other pieces installed. First, whoever said "sunny California", that's a myth. It rained everyday of the trip down and back. We still had a great time. Besides, California needs the rain.

I love the seat! Taking some back roads back to Washington, (1,100 miles) the seat has broke in. I ordered the Lamonster Cut that moves you back 1 1/2" from the stock BRP seat. The seat consist of black baby alligator with black grabber sides, yellow welt and yellow stitching. The back rest, trunk rest and passenger arm rest match the seat. I really like having the fuel door now as well.

Overall mileage was 1,935 miles for the trip. I did have a mishap at the end of the first day in Redding, CA. I was putting the bike cover on and side step over the tongue of the trailer. Oops! I didn't pick my feet up high enough and tripped. I ended up bouncing my head off of the asphalt parking lot twice. On the second hit, it knocked me out for about 15 - 20 seconds. I'm ok, just the rest of the trip I had a dull headache to remind me.........I'm old! :banghead:

Awesome! We got our Corbin seat in March and love it! We have the same color and model of spyder....absolutely love the yellow! Here is our corbin seat, we went with the spyder design.

You can read about our 3,000 mile trip to get our seat on our Lower 48, No Interstate blog https://l48ni.wordpress.com/2016/04/21/california-here-we-come/ and see some of the pictures on our Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1781555465397157.1073741836.1773105602908810&type=3.

Sorry about that.....

With the El Nino current off the coast this year we are getting a bit different weather conditions. But as you said we do need it even more so down here cause SF and LA hog it all....But AZ is kind enough to sell us some....:roflblack: That is a great looking seat and well worth the trip...congrats..:2thumbs: Here's a tip for the old age thing....stop taking shortcuts....:yikes: we are not as spry as we used to be...go the long way and look cool...:roflblack: glad your alright....

Instead of trying to change the weather patterns, Corbin needs to open shop in the Dallas Area. They have the east and west coasts covered. It would have been so much easier if they would have done my install but im not riding that far.
That is a really nice seat set up you got there though. Congratulations:firstplace:
