Trike from the ground up

A wider front tire would probably help. But you're only going to get so much MC tire in contact with the road.

So you're turning 1,400 lbs of vehicle (not counting passengers, etc.) with the tire on the left.

And you're turning a vehicle that weighs about 1/3 less with 2 of the tires on the right. You don't have to go to college to know which is going to turn better. You just can't fight physics.

I'm not sure anyone questioned that.......good discussion though.

But you are right, I think it's pretty obvious we all agree on that point. But there's more points to consider when deciding on the trike to purchase. Lots more. And that is why choices are good. :thumbup:

They can't slide very well to absorb road impacts under all that side load that they weren't really designed to handle. Forks are designed to work up & down with minimum side loads. This person either did not really look at the front end or did not understand it. The forks on the RF1 do not need to slide, they are solid forks...not telescopic. And when I say solid I mean solid, not hollow but structural. The dampening is done with the center shock/spring and therefore works just as well in a straight line or a sharp corner. If these had telescopic forks like converted motorcycles these statements would be true. Stability is not an issue with these at all.

I have done some DD on these things, and if you watch them go around a racetrack, stability does not really seem to be an issue, pricing....well thats a whole nudder ballgame...:roflblack:

Hannigan a trike maker has put a larger tire on the front of their trikes...not sure about the rewaco...not sure if it works.

Rewaco test drive

I drove from south florida today up to Lake Alfred to test drive a Rewaco trike. 3 hours worth of driving.

Nice guys at trike traders in Lake Florida, went over each machine with us and answered many questions.

Since I'm heading down to the pool, i'll leave with this. Awesome ride, very comfortable(as per wife), handles great and lots of power. Quiet engine, but nice growl when you get on it. Impressive quality all round.

As we were leaving a yellow spyder passed by honking horn.....felt like i was caught cheating:roflblack:

Me and the missus on the Rewaco, we drove the red one behind it, just testing this one for comfort level with different bars and slightly different passenger seating. Just got home and will answer questions that were PM'ed asap.
