• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I hope this is the best place for this info, if not, mod please move or if it isn't allowed, remove.
Virginia Highlands Community College in southwest VA will be offering a trike class on October 7 to 9. Can-am, traditional trikes and bikes with sidecars will be provided if needed, or bring your own.
For more info or to register, contact the Virginia Rider Training site coordinator, Dr. Pat Hunter, 276 739 2468 or email her at phunter at vhcc.edu
Full disclosure, I work at Virginia Highlands, but am in no way involved with the class.
Wish this class wasn't the same weekend as the Maggie Valley NC rally.

Outstanding Class

Highly recommended and outstanding value in 2009. $95.00 then and I believe the price has gone up quite a bit. I rode to New River Community College in October 2009 on a GL1800 with a Hannigan sidecar. I rode in the right lane and slowed down in right hand turns to keep the sidecar from flying. I came home in the left lane with no concern that the sidecar would fly in right hand turns - just shift my butt to the inside of the turn and move my head up toward the mirror to get more weight on the front tire.

We had 3 sidecars and 2 trikes for the class - all on Honda 250cc platforms. Everyone initially wanted to ride the trikes, but in a short time the trikes were last choice. Nobody selected a trike for the road test on Sunday, I used my GL1800 and one female came on a Spyder. She was the only one with a perfect road test score.

If you want to have some fun and become a safer rider, consider the class.
