• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Tried EZ-Pass in Frunk without success

Here in Mexico we are the kings of toll roads.....and my Spyder is a "CAR", yes go figure, they say it is car, although my registration says it is a motorcycle. I have to wear a helmet, it is the law, but I drive a "CAR" makes me really pissed off, and I think it is so very unfair. The price for a toll road (the one near me) is 45 pesos (about 3 dollars) while a motorcycle is less than $2. Oh and we are #2 in the world on high prices of tolls, only behind Japan. Go figure. We are such a poor nation (so they say) and we pay huge tolls to drive little distances.

You are so right 10 years ago paid $55 each way from DF to ACA.

Same Here. Tried it in the frunk of my 2014 RT-L and didn't work. I just put a piece of black industrial (plastic) hook on the dash behind the windshield and a 'loop' strip on the EZ-Pass and it works fine. .
 I was... uncomfortable mounting it in a place, where somebody walking by the bike might be tempted to walk off with it...

I've mounted mine on the small, clear, triangular plastic deflector (left side) behind the windshield on my RT and it works everywhere. It's the newer, smaller type, and that spot is almost flat, so it locks into the standard mounting tapes with a loud "click" and has never come loose. I don't consider theft an issue, as the thief would only get one or two uses before deactivation and would risk being caught as well.

I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with that down our way. There are no toll roads anywhere around me, that I know of.

ever since I seen mine bounce off the dash board then hit the side of the bike then the pavement doing 65mph. mine is going in the rear trunk from now on..Then I had to file a lost transponder and order a new one..Lost the 20 buck deposit too..Live and learn..

On my Victory Vision I hit a road bump at just the right frequency and it popped the transponder off the windshield tape strips and into the weeds at the side of a highway. Never found it and had to pay to replace it. Since I got the Spyder wanted to find a place in out of the ability to pop off and fly away Since Frunk didn't work, want to try the small glove box which seems to have a lighter plastic and maybe less signal loss. Anyone tried it there yet?

I have had my NY motorcycle transponder now for about a month and have had zero problems with it
being picked up while mounted on the lid of my frunk. Made sure it was "facing the same way as if it
were mounted on a windshield" and it works. I commute on the NY thruway everyday from about Rochester
to Syracuse so I hit the gates 4 times in a day. I have also used it in that location when going over a bridge
in RI successfully. I can take a picture of where it is mounted on mine when I get home today. Can't ride it
currently due to surgery last week but back on it tomorrow after doctor approval. Spyder is NOT made to be
parked in the dang driveway.... :(

I bet you could mount it anywhere and if you forgot to take it off and rolled thru with it on a trailer it would find it.

I have an EZ Pass windshield holder....it has suction cups and works just fine. I also use my jacket pocket as an option. Never had a problem.

I have mounted mine in exactly the same place as yours.
Generally speaking, it works with two notable exceptions.
One is the Bear Mountain bridge. The other is the Newburgh Beacon bridge.
I don't know where to locate it that will work in all places.

Mine is in the frunk, and it rarely works on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Seems to work fine everywhere else.

Here in North Texas and friend told me motorcycles don't get charges on the tollways, and, indeed, we have never received a bill for taking our Harley through. Haven't tried my Spyder yet. Good luck with your transponder!
