• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

TricLED Day-Time Running Lights

Pix didn't post on my iPad so I tried the iMac. Nothing. With the iPad I got a bunch of '?' blue squares. With the Mac, I got nothing. :banghead:
Guess I'll have to crank up a PC computer?

 Do I have to post Joe Walsh's "Analog Man" again? :D
(See Dee's thread about her ongoing DESS problems... :roflblack:)

You can see them reflect on the road, if riding at night, but they don't really light up the road. If you are looking for more light on the road at night, you may want to check out TricLED's new Long Distance High Power LED quads that come with a dimmer switch. The web site says the are for 2014/2015 models, but they will fit your 2013 RT as well. Here are some pictures...

nice pictures Deanna

I finally got my DRL's on, thanks robmorg for the inspiration. I mounted them a bit differently but the results are the same, I didn't think I would be able to tell if they were on while going down the road but they light up the inside of the wheel and the forwardmost fender brace quite well even in bright sunlight. Now I need to get the LED fender lights from Tricled.

Try them again now. It wasn't your fault, it was mine. Sorry. :sour:

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing they are not, because you'd want to add a switch to turn them on & off. They come with a switch that is also a dimmer switch. Check out the TricLED website. They are about 40% down that page.

They are not plug and play but it is not difficult to install. We do provide pretty much everything except getting a power lead from the battery. Being that they are a driving light I would power them straight from a battery or an accessory fusebox with an inline fuse(7.5amp or 10amp) is plenty. You simply combine both LED's positive together and negative together into the terminal block we provide. Dimmer switch gets power from battery and then connect the led to dimmer switch and your finished. The dimmer switch is nice because it controls the amount of brightness you need. The new driving LED's outputs over 2K lumens. It's great for night driving because it helps canvas the road shoulder. I've been able to spot the eyes of critters standing along the road because their eyes reflect.

Now as for the DRL bar, it is not meant to illuminate like a projection light. They are more for visibility. What's great about DRL is that they burn at a higher color temp so when your going down the road during the day or night you don't really blend in with other cars or the environment like a halogen light. The DRL's stand out right away because of it's brighter white color giving you the visibility from traffic ahead. A lot of motorcycle accidents happen because their headlights blend into other vehicles coming down the road therefore cars pull out and don't see them. This is where the DRL's come into play. The light is very visible even if your not. Similar to a lot of newer cars today, you see them coming from a distance even though you can't make out what vehicle it is at times. The DRL we have is a plug and play and comes with an OEM harness that plugs right into the factory running light. Makes installation very easy. Thanks for all the questions.

Hopefully this is not a stupid question.
Can the driving LEDS be wired without a switch so they are on all the time ? So I can us them as running lights during the day.
