• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just got two prices to install my tri Axis handlebars. Mountain Motor sports Atlanta wanted $550. Mountain Motor sports of Roswell wanted $450. I will tackle this with my buddy next week. I will keep time and problems and report back.

There's a video from Bob finless it seems to be a pain in the but to install hopefully you're very mechanically inclined

Both my buddy and me have taken on some complex projects. But MN y fingers will be crossed.

plan on a screw container as there are a lot to take off. Good luck on your project. Its a big one and the instructions are some what hard to go by at times.

Here's Finless Bob's three part video on installing the Tri-Axis handlebar. I haven't done it, but it looks like it's worth the time and effort. Good luck with your project.

HA

Add a zero, Pam! Took us 8 hours on a handlebar, and you have seen how we work. I imagine a full day would do it .

Obviously my videos are edited... who the hell would want to watch 8 hours of raw video!

Yes it took me about 8 hours to do it. I took my time and of course videoing it adds time.

I will say this... the dealer is NOT given enough time by BRP estimates to do this if you have not done it before!
So yes... $450-600 is not far off if you consider labor at about $100 an hour... Most dealers that have not done it before I BET eat the cost of time to do it....

It is not complicated to do just time consuming! If your handy, you can do this yourself... If your not, go get it done.

Bob

I agree with Bob. If you are handy, you can do it. If you are going to do it, watching Bob's DIY video is a must. That's what I did.

Ditto on all the cautions about hanging onto screws! The worst thing I encountered was dropping the 3/4" x 3" plate the ignition module screws go into. You don't find a replacement at the local hardware store or the dealer. I dropped mine. Took 2 or 3 hours of searching with a new $80 inspection camera from Home Depot to find it! It dropped onto a wiring harness connector against the frame. No way to see it from underneath!

Tri Axis Install

Started the process of installing my new tri axis handlebars today. My friend and I spent 4 1/2 removing tupperware and other parts. We are now ready for the reinstall. There were a couple of missteps during the process. I am using two videos, starting and stopping them as we complete a step. Overall videos were good. I would not have attemped this project without them. I will follow up when complete.

Be careful reinstalling the ignition end of the two cables for the frunk and glove box latches. The end ferrules are plastic and easy to break.

The four screws to attach the skirt around the handlebar are up inside and hard to see and get to. Be patient!

The bolt to raise and lower the handlebar is hard to turn. It's intended to be that way.

OMG ! Dude, I am so proud of you for doing this yourself.

:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

I love DIY'ers...
Also the confidence you learn doing it and of course makes you much more familiar with the machine for doing other things later!

I'm seriously considering getting the tri-axis bars. Is there anyone here that can scan and pdf the instructions for me?
