• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Travel Luggage / Bag That fits on to RS Backrest Well??

Crisis

Can anyone recommend luggage that fits (latches on to) the RS backrest well. I Don't want to remove the backrest and install the sport rack for the trip.
Thanks in advance.

I use the Kuryakin Grand Tour Bag on my RS. It has 2 advantages:

(1) If I strap it in front of the backrest, I can lean back and rest on the bag.
(2) If I have a passenger, I can strap the bag behind the backrest, and run the velcro in front for extra stability.

Please note that the bag is double strapped to the passenger handlebars in both instances.

Its a pretty nifty solution; check it out.

Would love to see a picture of it mounted in both postions.
THANKS

I have strapped any number of bags to my wife's Spyder. She likes our big sissy bar bag the best for long trips because she can use it for a backrest. Shoot, on our trip to Colorado a couple years ago we strapped 2 hardshell suitcases to the sides. Let them rest on the passenger footpeg mounts and strapped them to the handgrips. The only limit is your imagination.

Travelling double or alone? Something like a Helen2Wheels clothes bag or a SealLine bag works well if you can use the seat space, but they might be too big to strap down behind the backrest.
