• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Transporting Spyder Question

So I now have 450 miles on my spyder SE5 and guess what???? Shifting problems!!:banghead: The dealer tells me there is no service bulletins on the 2009 SE5 but to bring it in and they will check it out for me. I don't trust riding it over there since they are about 45 miles away and nothing but 2 lane crazy highway to get there. I don't have access to a trailer, he tells me I can put it on the back of my pick up.... I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra and after measuring....the front wheels of the Spyder would be sitting on the tailgate the whole way there. Any advice? Not sure the tailgate will hold the weight.

Too bad you're not a little closer. You could use my trailer.

go to u hal and rent trailer to get it there a nd then rite a letter tell them how the dealer is they do read this sight don't put it in the truck friend did tailgate strap broke he has 4,000 damage to fix new noes and fenders

I told them I had no way to get it over there but they didn't seem to care...so far there service has not been what I would have expected from them They forgot to send me my registration stuff for my tag, they always act kind of bothered when I call with questions but I tell you what, they were very attentive and responsive before the sale. I purchased from these guys because they seem very plugged into the BRP community and allover BRP's website involved deeply.
That wouldn't be the place in Cumming, would it?

I think the Spyder will go into an 8' bed without putting a wheel on the tailgate. I haven't measured it but the listed wheelbase is 68". Allowing for 24" of clearance from the rear axle to the front of the truck bed would put the front axle at 92". That's 4" short of 8' and my F-250 has an 8' 3" bed.

For shorter beds I would think putting a 4x8 piece of 1/2" or 5/8" plywood down would take most of the stress off the tailgate.

Make them pick it up, why should you?
