• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Transporting Spyder by pickup

Spyder in pick up

I have the American lift in my GM 3/4ton short box. We travel from Alberta to Arizona with the Spyder safely tied down(extra straps on the full cover) no rubbing, perfectly clean! The lift is hydraulic, electric with a remote that moves the deck fromflat on the ground (for easy tie down)over the end gate opening(only 60 inches) to settle inside the truck box over the wheel wells.

Amerideck.com explains all and lists distributors. Note the deck is 58 inches wide and an RT is 62.5 so there is a 2 inch overlap on each side. This does not present a problem at all(plenty of support under each tire. as most full size truck boxes are at least 65 inches wide rail to rail. Also check you tube videos.

This may solve the problem.

Please don't listen to these folks that think it can't or shouldn't be done................... It is super easy to load a Spyder in the bed of a pickup and you will never even notice it is back there. About 45 seconds.

1. Buy a Harbor Freight tri fold ramp and cut hinges off to separate it. (less than $100.00)

2. Find a slight hill and back it on.

3. Take your windshield off with an RT

4. Strap the damn thing down

5. Have fun on your trip.

Exactly what I was talking about!

I would love to but the parking garage has a hard time realizing that my spyder is at the gate and can't get in. I am attempting to the the manager to provider a solution.

:D I've got a possible solution...

Give her your truck, and go full-time on the Spyder! :2thumbs:

Finding the light hill is the challenge. I live in south Louisiana and locating a hill or elevated patch of round is difficult to do. But that is an idea.

Thanks.

Providing you have a full length bed, not a short one. My Titan bed is about 79" long. The RT is 105" long, 2 feet longer than the bed!

KOOL! Tight fit but it's in....!(hey that's what she said lol)
Wish I would've have seen this prior to ordering my RAM truck....I have RAM storage boxes & loose the space behind the wheel wells....& no hills on my flat Florida property....I guess longer ramps could work but where would u store them.
Why remove the windshield?
