• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Transporting my RT

I am still in a quandary about getting my RT from Florida to upstate, NY in the Spring. Has anyone had any dealings with ID Transport?

Sorry; I've got no experience with shipping them... :opps:

But what you COULD do, is ride it North, and then fly back down to Florida, to bring the rest of your stuff back with you!
Two days; perhaps three at the most... nojoke

You could ride to Virginia and take the train to Florida with your Spyder (a cool trip) and then just fly home, i bet the trip would not be much more than the shipping.

I agree with Bob. Were I in your shoes there's no way I would not ride it north. You could super-slab it but I think you'd have much more fun planning a route that took you through some scenic countryside even if it added a day or more to the trip.

There are all sorts of options, depending on your situation. Are you moving a whole house full of furniture to upstate New York, or just the Spyder?

There are a lot of ways to transport it, I used www.uship.com last fall from Florida to Ohio and it was great. After watching shippers bid on the job, researching each one's reputation and credentials, I got an enclosed trailer with insurance for $425.00. Safe and sound, clean and trustworthy. I like the UShip method because, they get the job, I give Uship the money but I hold the release code. If they don't deliver, I don't give them the code, if they do pick it up, they can be sure that the money is good because UShip is holding it for them. Once I give the driver the release code, he puts the code in his account and the money is in his account. Easy Peazy Lemon Squeesy!
