Transformers-"Revenge of the Fallen"

Went to the movies today to see Transformers 2 Anyway good movie. Spyder was only shown in the beginning of movie (was disappointment for me) It was used by the military. They were black with no fenders. All in all the movie was pretty good but the Spyder was not a major part of movie or even a "Transformer" which is what I thought. Don't blink in the beginning or you'll miss the Spyder showing. Anyways just a thought hope I didn't spoil anyone's movie expectations.

Bummer.....you would think that BRP would have known it only had a limited part before they planed the entire Hollywood marketing thing around it. I think everyone will be very disappointed to learn it was not even a trasformer. Oh well....maybe in #3!

heck, you would think BRP would of thought of putting a handbrake on the spyder.... doesn't surprise me about the t2 movie.

BRP is using the movie for promotional reasons only. They knew ahead of time that it had a very limited part but they did what they had to do to use the movie to their advantage. They are hoping it pays off no matter how small of a part.... Good Luck.....

But still, why create such a buzz over nothing? I would have been somewhat disapointed to make the trip for 10 sedonds of spyder after all that hype.

I have a lamp company and my latest model can be seen on a table in the next Angelina Jolie movie, let's throw a party!! That's ridiculous.

Anyway, I like the transformers and will go see the movie and yes I will continue to ride my spyder.

Holly Crap! That was your lamp. Hell yes, where and when is this party? Don't plan it too soon because we will want to get people from all over the country who have the same lamp time to plan a trip for the movie party. Maybe you can hold a context for a free trip and lamp for the winner. Lets light things up! lol

I just got back from T 2 myself. I thought the movie was pretty good. Audience actually clapped at the end. Got a lot of looks leaving the theater on my spyder. Although we didn't see a spyder as often as I hoped, I thought it was a good mix of action, suspense, clever comedy and of course Megan Fox.

I went to see it tonight also. Pretty good movie overall - I think the critics were too harsh on all issues they mentioned. Movie was Looooooong !

Spyder appears 3 or 4 times - blink and you'll miss each one. People that don't own Spyders probably didn't even notice.

I personally think it's silly that BRP has pushed the whole 'Spyder being in this movie' as the part was no more special than an unknown character in the movie drinking a Coke. Having the whole 'premier' (4 days after the real premier) - and making such a big deal over it was pretty misleading.

Oh well - ride on--- enjoy the movie for what it is--- a movie.

And yes guys - Megan is still very tasty looking!

You guys are being kind of harsh. This is actually the second annual gathering and since last year was in Quebec, they were shooting for a west coast gathering. If you look at the itinerary, the movie is just one small part of the whole shindig. BRP is of course going to get all the marketing out of this as possible. This isn't about the movie, it's about Spyder Owners. Having gone to the first Homecoming and seei g how BRP treats their guests so very well, I am thinking everyone will be glad they took the time to come to LA, weather you like the movie or not.

Hear Hear Deb

I wonder why BRP didn't hype up the other movies and videos that have had Spyders in them? There is at least 1 other movie that had a Spyder in it and a couple music videos.

On the CSI episode (which BRP hyped up) the Spyder had a pretty integral part of the show - so the hype made sense.

Maybe it was just because of all the hype from the 2 websites that most of us expected more?

Maybe they will hit pause at the special BRP premier so no one misses them? :D

I don't doubt the homecoming is a great thing, but the whole 'Transformer connection' has been very over-inflated.

I hope they do a homecoming somewhere in the mid-US area so more can attend. Limiting it to one coast or the other severely cuts out a great number of us from attending. Heck, during the first year of sales - Michigan was 2nd only to California in total Spyder sales! As more dealers have opened I'm sure that Michigan has dropped considerably.

I've been to many BRP events and they have always done a great job. Largest I went to so far had around 80 Spyders show up.

YUP! That's was the whole idea! Not going to ruin it for me. I liked the first Transformers movie and I'm going to meet up with all you crazy Spyder people in SoCal and have some fun. WOOOT!!!! Departure in 20 hours from now.

I don't see how anyone cannot be disappointment with all the build up. I'm not saying if I was going it would ruin my trip, but the way they made it seem it had a lot bigger part. Red carpet event sounds to me like it is in the movie. As someone stated if you aren't fimiliar with the spyder you won't even notice it

:agree:

I've had mine for 15 months and am very familiar with it..heck I only saw it once being driven off the plane. My GF distracted me for a second and I missed the first shot. There were 6 of us at the movie and we only spotted the Spyders twice. We all did enjoy the movie though.

I really hope you all enjoy your trip. I for one am glad I didn't spend the $ and take time off work for the coast to coast trip.

Have a safe trip out and back!

The movie is just added entertainment. Nice of BRP to add it to the mix. Their other activities are also plusses, but the gathering of the Spyders is the main attraction. Ease off on the nice folks that provided this dandy excuse to take a long ride...even if you really didn't need an excuse. It's all about the journey, folks, never the destination.

I hear the movie is VERY LOUD and not as good as the first. Didn't see (or hear) the first. Bringing my earplugs with me to see the movie just in case. Ever notice how loud movie trailers and movies are now?

:agree: I guess what bothers me, and it is probably my fault, I was telling everyone "the spyder is in the new transformer movie!!!" and now I look a little stupid as it is in it for about 30 seconds or so :opps:

Ditto here - got razzed by a couple people. And it's nowhere near 30 seconds. Between the 3 sightings in the movie you would be hard pressed to come up with 10 seconds.

Maybe they will slow those parts down or hit pause at their premier - :D.

Hollywood is all abuzz about MJ taking a dirtnap right now anyway---- so again these things come in three's--- Ed, Farrah and Michael.

Glad I'm not famous!

My daughter took me to see the movie last night for my birthday i though the movie was very good it was funny, plenty of action the mom was very funny and so were the twins. and yes if i had my spyder, time and money i would have drove out why not you only live once. from ny i might have driven to chi-town and took the fameous route 66 or drive west 60 miles and took 81 south which i think goes in to eastern tenn and rode out with lamonster and ron and the gang. :2thumbs:
