• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well - one thing about that figure that might be off is that in order to enter the chance to win a trip out there you had to sign up for the event. Not sure how they are able to tell who is really going and who isn't?

I basically won't be going unless I win----

Yeah, that was pretty stupid, wasn't it? I just didn't bother with the contest as a result.

Me either - don't know why they sent an invitation that said open to all spyder owners if they made it so you had to register for the event. I figured that if you couldn't go it meant don't register - not eliglible.:dontknow:

I signed up - but checked that I wouldn't be attending things (breakfast, ride, dinner, movie, etc.)--- felt kind of stupid to register and then say I'm not going to things--- of course unless I win.

600 so far..

The closer it gets and the word gets spread around even more, I think the attendance will be even higher.

Ya think that the poh leese will shut down a few city blocks so we have someplace safe to park our Spydies??:roflblack:

I just got an email from Jomion. He drove and his Spydie went to a trike/sidecar rally in eastern WA this weekend. The town was supposed to close down one city block to park the rigs to have a small "show". It was all pre arranged and pre approved by the city council. Three of the merchants protested so much and threatened lawsuits that the organizers moved the whole shootinmatch to a city park. REAL HUGE loss of revenue for the town that was supposed to host this event. The three merchants were afraid of "outlaw bikers" taking advantage of them. Joe said the rest of the merchants who approved were "Hoppin Mad" at the three who protested.

This is happening more and more as time passes. Snohomish Wa cancelled thier show this year because of safety concerns. And look what happened to Myrtle Beach.

On a lighter note, LETS ALL HAVE FUN IN HOLLYWOOD!!:2thumbs::clap::D:ohyea::yes::2excited:Its gonna be one helluva anniversary present to ourselves!!

I'm a little late to the game but do we have to sign up to join in the festivities? I couldn't find anything on Spyderryder.com.

This is what I got from BRP before they started doing the mailers.

Lamont,

We started accepting registrations on April 20th for the L.A. Owners Event. In 9 days, we have secured 168 registrations to date. 65% are from California. We have registrations from 19 different States and Provinces.

58 days to go!

I did the same thing. I tried to simply enter the contest, but it wouldn't let me complete my entry without registering, so I did, :gaah:although I won't be there either unless I win.
