• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailers

Check with Cruzr Joe..............

I believe he used to have one. Not positive but think this one is made in China. I have the lookalike made in USA www.minitrailerusa.com I can saw my Nomad pulls perfectly and is very solid.

Jim

They are located in Greenville SC. I looked at them they are well made. I didn't buy one because I ride alone so I can pack everything on my RT. I notice they are doing the hitches now when I look I had to have the dealer install the hitch. I know that someone on this form has one they can tell you how they pull. I'm sure that they are made here. They are priced right compared to other trailers.

Escape Trailer

I have one. I have pulled it more than 3,000 miles without any problems. I did add some weather strip to reduce the noise from bouncing the lid.

I bought this trailer because of the additional accessories provided. However, I did go to Tractor Supply to buy chain hooks with a spring-loaded clip (like those on the RT622).

The dealer in SC worked hard to satisfy me when I discovered the axles were not correct. When your trailer arrives, look to see that they are LEFT and RIGHT, have MATCHING angles. On mine, one was about 30 degrees and the other 45. They could not be moved, so I waited about a week for a matching pair.

Good luck.

Wow, thanks for the heads-up!

Buy the minitrailerusa.
I picked mine up from the shop where they build them! Superior product to the one your looking at in my opinion.

I purchased my Escape trailer from the shop in Greenville, SC back in February. Absolutely no issues in the few long trips I have made. Very well built and lots of room. If you run out of room inside, you can easily strap stuff to the top.

The owner, Danny, met me there on a Saturday, on his off day. He assembled the trailer for me, and also wired up an adapter to go to my BRP module.

I can't say enough about his customer service.

Very highly recommended.

According to Can-Am, if you haul another trailer other the one designed for the Can-Am it will void the warranty. I was going to get a tear drop to tour the country with but that is out of the question now.

I might be wrong, but I think the only thing that voids the warranty is if you don't have the BRP hitch. The trailer itself doesn't void the warranty.

CruzJoe is right the build quality is awesome . Ricky the owner of Mini was at Spyderfest great guy. He actually repaired one of the ones your looking at there in lot at vendor village and had them stop at his shop on the way home. When I picked mine up he said he took care of them! Great person to work with!

Since this trailer has no springs, was wondering how "bouncy" it is compared to the leaf spring trailers.

Doc, I own a trailer repair shop and believe me, you want the torsion axles. So much better of a ride, and independent suspension. Little more if you ever have to replace one but proper maintenance will provide years of trouble free miles. Try to get them with easy lube spindles, or never service hubs. JMHO :2thumbs:

I bought the China made trailer out of SC. All 2 or 3 brands seem to be made identical. I am an engineer and can find NO flaws in the design or quality of this trailer. I bought the Diamond XL which was lass than $1,500 delivered to your home! I owned a Bushtec trailer with my Goldwing for 15 years and I feel this trailer is going to be a much better value and less work to maintain and use.
i am the first to buy American made when it makes sense but the cost difference for the same thing is not how I want to use my money.

I have a couple questions about these trailers.
Does anyone know what the max towing speed is for either of these brands posted? I didn't see it listed on the sites and I have seen other trailers with a max 50-55mph tow speed.
Another newbie question, do motorcycle trailers require a separate license plate?

Licensing? Check with your State's Motor Vehicle website...
In Ohio; isn't it the "BMV"? :dontknow:
Here in Noo Yawk; we either call them the "DMV", or a bunch of things that you'd never want to repeat around your Mother!
