• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailering cover 2020 RTL…what do you use?

Good morning all. I have a Stinger trailer for my 2020 RTL. I know many people use enclosed trailers…I don’t have that so it’s the Stinger. I notice BRP has a cover for trailering that isn’t supposed to scratch or rub the panels.

What experience do you have with a trailering cover? What cover would you recommend?

IMHO there is no good travel cover! In fact, if you travel the interstates enough, you will see even heavily shrink wrapped vehicles with stuff flapping in the wind. Save your time and money to do a good clean-up job on your Spyder after you reach your destination. A cover designated as a travel cover may be Okay for going a short distance to storage. But they will produce bad and expensive damage if given a chance..... Jim

Everyone has their own opinion and experience - but personally - like the above poster - I would never cover a ride when trailering at highway speeds. Even with a so called trailer cover. The risk to paint is too great.

So far it is unanimous. Don't cover your Spyder. You will be sorry. Just put the protecting treatment of your choice on it and clean it again when you get where you're going. Whatever you cover it with will destroy it.

My girlfriend just bought a trailering cover for our 2023 Spyder RT Limited. The plan was not to use for trailering the thing but just to cover it. She was going to put it on the other day but after reading the instructions decided to wait till winter. It fits really tight and would be a process to put on. It was massively on sale and is very heavy duty, but I agree don’t wrap a trailered bike. I once put plastic wrap on my Harley and went to Georgia from Idaho and it was tattered and scuffed up the paint a bit.

Not wanting to steal the thread, but may I ask how do you like the stinger trailer? Thanks
