There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Trailer Parking at Comfort Inn

Spyderlady has just arrived in Springfield and is already covered up with Spyderfest duties. She asked that I post this for those asking questions about trailer parking.

The host hotel Comfort Inn will be roping off several parking spaces right in front for trailers to park. Ideally they'll be able to maximize the space by doubling up (where possible) and potentially even lock together to prevent anyone messin' with our stuff. I'm guessing that this is for those actually staying at the Comfort Inn, but Linda did not specifically say.

At any rate, they are trying hard to make travelers feel secure about trailer parking and we appreciate it!

Hotel Map.jpg As you can see, most of the hotels are in the vicinity. (Motel 6 listed here is actually the America's Best Inn... I found that out the hard way :banghead:). So from what I can tell, trailer parking should not be an issue.

Sound good, Thanks SpyderLady:yes::2excited:, I am shoving off this afternoon a day
earlier than planned so I can watch the laker game tonight in Tucson AZ and be able
to sleep in tomorrow on my journey to Texas and the MO. Should arrive Monday evening.
I had everything packed in my trailer when I had a tire issue, that had a happy ending.
The trailer holds 22 cubic feet, but I could use 24 :banghead:And yes I brought the kitchen sink!:roflblack:

I think we need to park the trailers away from Spyderfest, trailers attract tornadoes. :joke:

Hey, watch the comments about trailers. Oh wait, I don't live in one. :roflblack:

I'll be dragging a 20 footer with both Spyders and what ever else Bruisersbaby has to carry. Thanks for the info.

First time ever trailering our Spyders so I am hoping the Comfort Inn in Ozark has room for a 16 footer. Worst case scenario I was thinking we might be able to park it at Duck Stadium with the vendors, but not sure if that is a feasible option.

Just to clarify, I don't think they are talking about making room for large trailers, but for smaller Spyder haulers or RT-622s when the owners want to unhook. I've been to this hotel and there is definitely not room in front for larger trailers.

Ok, thanks for the clarification on that. Can you ask them about possibly parking the bigger trailers at Vendor Village? It would be nice to know where I can stash it before getting there.

Just tell them Faran said it was ok to park that tractor trailer there. :chat:

It is not quite as big as a tractor trailer, but close enough for my tastes. I don't think Faran even has enough clout with them to let me get away with that.

Best Western is working on this.

Thanks Fran. I called the Best Western and they were not aware that many of us would be pulling trailers. They appreciated the "heads-up" and began working on this immediately. I sent them some pictures of Spyders with the RT-622 so they will know what they are dealing with.

I am very impressed with the positive responses I've received from everyone I've talked to. This will be a fantastic event.

I don't know about the Comfort Inn in Ozark but the Comfort Inn in Sprinfield (host hotel) said they had room for large trailers. I told them I had a 23 footer and they said it wouldn't be a problem:dontknow:.

If it is a problem I guess I'll stash it at Pit Bull Powersports. What do you say Len, you got the room? Make a little extra coin for trailer parking.

Has anyone talked to the folks at the Super 8 there are a few of us from Colorado with both Truck and Trailer and some with Spyder and Trailer. :yikes: It will all work out I hope.

I just checked with Spyderlady and she said it should not be a problem to park at Vendor Village way out on the edges. Security will be there starting on Tuesday when the vendors are setting up.

Definitely won't be room at Pitbull, but Vendor Village parking (out on the edges away from the actual vendors) is the word we've gotten from Len and Spyderlady,

Thanks Faran, I hope there is at least room to maneuver around the hotel parking lot with trailer in tow. I would like to stop there and take care of the room business before heading to vendor village on Wednesday.

I wonder why they told me there would be room for the trailer at the hotel. Maybe they don't know what a 20 ft. truck pulling a 23' trailer looks like. I wish I had a shorter trailer but all I have is my snowmobile trailer that occasionally pulls double duty, no pun intended. But it is what it is, it will all work out and we'll figure it out when we get there.
