Trailer Owners....How much Drop on Ball Mount?

I purchased a PiggyBacker XL trailer for my 2009 SE5. Need to buy a ball mount. What is the recommended drop?

??? Depends on the hitch being used. I'm assuming you are going to use the MMG swingarm receiver hitch. Otherwise you do not have any choice for height. Probably a straight hitch with that one...I doubt very much you would need or want a dropped hitch ball. Raised, maybe, but not dropped. Most folks like to get the trailer fairly level, but for these short trailers it doesn't really affect towing, just looks. You'll likely do fine with whatever hitch you select.

I'd wait until you get the trailer, and see what the tongue height is. You can also get a raised hitch ball. You probably want to stay away from much drop, due to low ground clearance.
