• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailer Hitch with Box attached

Some of you might recall my previous threads about mounting a box on a rack attached to a trailer hitch. I wanted the extra space for the trip to Springfield. It seemed to be a good idea. However, the box was an abject failure due to tremendous vibrations to the rack in that it was hard mounted, in effect, to the rear wheel. Even tho the box was a very sturdy plastic box, by the time I got to Springfield some small cracks had begun. The bolts holding the rack mount to the hitch vibrated loose and the second time I had blue lok-tight added which solved that problem. Even before I got there, I didn't trust it so it only had a few items in it. If I need to use it again, I'll try a soft bag instead.

Wise choice..!!

being mounted on the swingarm vibration and thumping is a problem. Don't know of any hard mounted plastic that will hold up. Rubber pad and strapped down will work or soft bags for sure. Great info for those thinking of going that way....thanks..!!
