Trailer connector

I had the BRP trailer hitch (2013 version) installed and I have my trailer assembled and now I am looking for a trailer wiring adapter. I see that Hopkins has this (http://www.hopkinstowingsolutions.com/products/specialty-connectors/4_pole_square_set.html which I will have to purchase from an on-line retailer as it is not available locally. Will this work or will I have to go with http://store.spyder.brp.com/product/631079/710003227/_/RT-622_Tongue_harness. A big price difference and of course the multi-week wait to get the part.

So on the bike you have the plug that the BRP converter harness orange plug plugs into?
If so you will need to remove that and put on the square standard plug. Then to me it seems it should work.
You will probably need a volt meter to probe out the wires as to which is break, turn, riding.

What you need depends on what you are trying to connect. Need more information about the trailer to advise you further.

I used the BRP tongue harness and it arrived in a couple of days. The nice thing about it is the bump on the side is used by the dust cap to lock the plug in.

They ship from many different places it seems... every time I order parts direct it comes from a different dealer but I don't care so long as I get my parts.

Good to see someone from near my old stomping grounds in LaPlace.

If your trailer is 4-wire (no separate turn signals), the Hopkins square-4 pigtail will work. The BRP tongue harness is intended to convert 2011 and 2012 RT-622 trailers to work with the 2013 hitch, and must be modified to work with anything else.

There may be other brands. Any square-4 will do. If you have an RV store or trailer shop in your area, they might be a source, too.

Thanks everyone for your help. When to a NAPA (after calling to make sure they had it) and purchased. Made the clerks day.....said in 8 years of working there, that was the first 4 pole connector he had sold. Now just have to wait for the bike to get out of the shop (bad knock sensor).
