• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trade in values

Hello all.

Just wondering if there is a site that gives a trade in value on spyder's. I have a 2010 RT-S SE5 and was thinking about trading it in. It has 9000 miles and new rubber and battery. Anyone have a ball park figure for me. I don't expect to get a ton but I don't want to be taken either

Thanks
Troy

Ballpark $14,500. What I got for mine a year ago a 2010 RTS-SE5. 36K miles, perfect condition. There was some talk about KBB being high as far as realistic value. It all boils down to the bottom line check or loan amount that you pay for the difference.

I went to 8 dealers for trade in. Went with the best related to distance. Big variance dealer to dealer.

I happen to know someone that traded in with his 2010 RTS SE5 with 12K on it and as I recall he got $11K on trade. But this was when the new 2014's had just came out. Turned me off from even thi9nking about trade in. But as people say, dealer to dealer for sure as I have seen far better trade-ins posted here but most of those were 2012 or 2013's. You have to remember even with low miles a 2010 is now a 5 year old Spyder! It does matter the year.

Start here...

start with kelley blue book and NADA the units selling in your area ebay etc. Armed with that knowledge go to dealers and negociate. Best deal sell it yourself...
