I do understand where they are coming from due to the fact that I used to be in car sales and we were always told to low ball any offer, but I was surprised with the 40% reduction on the limited.

I do know that I can make more money selling them myself. I was just hoping to avoid the hassle of dealing with the " I want to test ride it, but how do these things work since I have never ridden a motorcycle before" and the " I will be over in One hour " and they never show up

When I sold my wife's scooter I was not buying another bike, did not want to take a bath on the sale, or want to deal with issues selling myself. The dealership sold the scooter on consignment, and it did sell pretty fast. Dealer made their money, I got more than I would have on a trade had I been buying another bike (or just selling it to the dealership), and did not have to deal with people coming to my house.

Also, have any of you looked at KBB prices? They are pretty unrealistically high considering the deep discounts on the 2013 that the dealers are offering.

My HD dealer does do consignment sales and I most likely do that. I have not asked my Spyder dealer yet.

As for KBB I have not looked at it for the Spyder. For the HD is has loan value listed at $20,800.
