• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yes indeed. They go for 2600$, so about 1000$ less than the other one I'm looking at. I decided against one of them for three reasons:

1. They are not aluminium and I read at least one bad story of rust.

2. They are dedicated Spyder rigs and don't offer the flexibility for carrying other cargo

3. I am concerned about the resale market/value and as such I would probably lose as much on resale as on a more expensive trailer

I'm obviously over-thinking this too much as this would have been indeed a nice solution. They weigh about 500 pounds same as the other one but are rated 70 mph highway speed. Not sure about the other one yet.

These are from a company in the Province of Quebec near Montreal. The dealer network in the rest of Canada is not great. They go for 3000$ to 4000$ CDN. 3500$ for the size I am looking at. So that must be like 20$ USD :roflblack:

Will they let you try putting your Spyder on one before purchasing it?
It would be very disappointing to purchase and then find your 62" wide Spyder will not fit!

1. Aluminum isn't all it is cracked up to be either. I own an Aluma trailer and have had it welded twice because of stress fractures. I wouldn't let steel be a game stopper.

2. I do agree that a single purpose trailer is a bit of a waste unless I can fit a bed on the runners to get multi purpose use from it.

3. Like anything resale is all based on demand. I see a very small niche for this type of trailer.
 
If it wasn't for the fold and store part, for the money I would buy a nice enclose trailer that you could use as a garage. You will never loose to much money on a resale, but you'll need some place to park it. A lot of these fold and go trailers are built pretty flimsy. Good luck!!

Wow! My Spyder costs me less than $30(US) per year in taxes (excluding excise tax on fuel and sales tax on maintenance).

:agree: Exactly what I have. 7712. 77" wide X 12' long. plenty of room to spare. These can be had for under $2,000 USD all day long here in the US.

Ken,

The OP talked about storing a trailer is an issue. That is why he is looking at one that folds up and can be stored in a smaller space.
 
Thanks for the information it was very helpful just order the parts you mention. How do you install the tube jack to the traileragain thanks. This is my first trailer any information woulf helpful
