• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Towing a Spyder - Best way?

Questions

New member
I'm wanting to tow my Spyder RT behind my Ford SUV. I also want to put the trailer in my garage, so the height needs to be less than 82" (6 ft 8 in).

thanks.

Rampage Motorcycle Lift

I decided to go with the Rampage lift http://rampagelift.com/Cont.html

I just installed it last weekend. Works great. I went this way so I can put it in the rear of my pickup and then we tow the pickup behind our motorhome. All you have to do is back up the bike to the lift, strap the rear tire into the shoe and then use the remote winch control and it puts the bike in the back of the truck. It goes in backwards so you need to remove the windshield first but that easy, 6 screws and it's off.

Then if you want to remove the lift from the truck all you have to do is remove 4 bolts and it can be taken out of the truck. It weighs about 300 lbs so you will need a hoist or a fork lift. Or you can take it apart into three pieces and one person and remove it.

Just another option.

Gotta say..!!

there is no best way to tow a spyder...ryde it...:roflblack::roflblack: best would be an open trailer and if narrow you will have to put her on backwards and remove the windshield...

I use a triple crown utility trailer, 6x12, which fits easily in the garage. A 6x10 works but the extra 2 feet was only 30 bucks!

The Ulitmate trailer can be lowered to the floor inside the garage and then the Spyder parked on it.....saves space.
