• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Touring windscreen for st

Curious if anyone has found a windscreen that is wide at the base to block some of the side air. I can barely hear the radio. The height seems ok. I saw one at ebay -28.5 inches at the base and available in three heights. The issue is it doesn't give the manufacture and no info on mounting and if it is pre-drilled to fit the st brackets.
All info is appreciated

Yes indeed. Also, download your music onto a chip--insert chip into gps ( there is a slot) and play through the gps and speakers under options music continuous and the sound is very clear.

Installed the Cal Scientific windscreen. Very straight forward and easy. I opted to get some black torx bolts (longer than the factory bolts) in lieu of the provided bolts to maintain an original look IMOP.
I now a essentially wind free driving pocket. Can actually hear the radio and GPS. Optics appear very clear. At mind point I can see over the windscreen. The factory cut out (vent) is very nicely done and placed perfectly.
Highly recommended.

Delsurfin,
How tall are you; what height windshield did you choose and what position is the windshield in it's adjustment range?

I am six 6 feet tall. windscreen is 28.5 wide by 23.5 tall. I ride at the mid point setting and its right about at the top of my nose. I can see over and it blocks the wind (at the shoulders too). Optics are very good.

Thanks for the additional information. I'm currently using the CAM touring screen with a MRA touring wing on top. In the low setting from the center it measures 25 3/4" but is only 22 1/4" wide at the bottom and 15 1/2" at the top. The additional width at the bottom must really be effective. I'm just over 6' so the coverage should be equivalent to your experience. Have you modified the screen adjustment mechanism? I haven't yet and it won't stay in the mid or upper adjustment.

Have the CalSci extra wide and tall. Holes were drilled correctly, install was quite easy.

Makes a big difference, no head buffeting. Hands still exposed, using heated gloves.
