There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Touring Version?

Some time ago I recieved a reply from BRP regarding a survey. I told them I would be very interested in a touring rig. In the reply they said they might have something for me in late (Fall) 09 but that was all the information they could give me at that time. Anybody heard anything about something like this??

I heard though the grapevine that the 2010 Spyder is :b2b:
Not sure what that means but I'm told that I will like it...alot :2thumbs:

does that mean that guys like me who are about to buy a 09 should hold off until the 2010 comes around:(:dontknow:

You sure you're going to be around in 2010? :dontknow: If I waited for the latest and greatest I wouldn't own anything. I say get your ride now and live for today because we never know what tomorrow will bring. :doorag:

I guess you are right, better get it before the wife changes her mind:chill:

Absolutely! Strike while the iron is hot. In any event, there are enough touring accessories on the market now that you can turn a stock Spyder into a touring machine without much effort or huge cost.

I agree with Lamont. I am planning to be around in 2010 too, but who knows? Work hard, play hard, and enjoy life while you can!

Follow BRP history on new models of snowmobiles, PWCs, Jet Boats and ATVs and you will see that the new models get bigger and better, but the price never does. My guess is if they do come out with a "Tour" model, you will pop for twenty grand. Nothing wrong with that if you can wait, but in the meantime, there are roads out there calling us. While we all plan to be around in 2010, I will repeat John Lennon's quote: "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans".

yes agree with everone here...I have a beat on a 09 red sm5 with a few bells and whistles.....so hopefully I can join you guys as owners very soon but its still too damn cold here in BC to ride and the insurance is astronomical.:cus:

What would be good reasonsnot to tell us more about touring model. Oh lets see then no one would buy the current model in production. I am told that yes there will be a touring model and it will address most of the concerns we all have, However they say 2010. So that means by one now ride like you stole it and see what 2010 brings thats what I did

Plus waiting for a new toy....is torture! I doubt they will change the drive line - putting on the stuff you want for the open road will make your Spyder uniquely yours anyway. :spyder:

SM5 for Sale

Went to Mission Motorsports to look around today, and they have a silver and black SM5 Spyder with 1,098 miles for $13,000-----I looked it over very carefully, and saw no wear or tare marks at all----someone will get a grest ride for that price. Mission Motorsports is in Irvin, California.

I live direkt by the rotax-factory ..and heard there is a new Monster?-Goldwing? 2l? Modell in test - but I didn`see it till now..it should look really ...(no english word for that..)
so they told me to drive another season with mine - for training..
hope to see some spy-pics in the next time..

2012 CanAm Touring Spyder?

I've been buying BRP's Sea-Doos since the '90s. They tipically don't change their model within a few years. It looks like 4 years is a good average between model upgrades on the jet skiies with BRP. Considering this economy, why would they want to roll out something new this soon when they can just sit on this unique design for a few years longer? I think '09 rumors are just a teaser to keep things interesting.

:agree: I expect if they came out with a touring model this soon it would just have the factory ultra touring shield, and maybe a few other bolt-on accessories, direct from the factory. For the "mod-a-holics" out there, that might spoil their fun. ;)

Still waiting for Baker to develop>>>>>

>>>>>their Wings to go along with my CalSi screen. If they don't look like they will do the job then I will upgrade to the largest BRP. The lower area gives me better weather protection than any bike since my old TurtleBack Cushman Husky.

Already have the color matched Corbin bags on m;y wish list. Though more expensive than other systems I figure that since I only get a little better milage than my Forester I should be able to carry a week's worth of shoping! Will add SatRad and SatNav but probably will forego an Air Bag System.

Don't plan on much more than weekending but I still feel Iktome is only half dressed. Looks like the time my Brother went out on the Dance Ground with his fine new leggings but forgot his Loincloth! The Corbin bags really do finish it out.
