• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Touring Hydration System

How do you snake the tube into your helmet? Do you use a Camelbak-like bite piece?

I'd kill to be able to rehydrate on my bike. My problem is that I have a long-oval head that requires an Arai helmet (and their long-oval line comes only in a full-face model), and they make those so snug-fitting, with a chin air-dam for quiet, that I can't get anything into the helmet, at least not without stopping and partly lifting the helmet.

I use a full face helmet. The system comes with a camelback bite valve. I've experimented with a few different bite valves like the 90 degree angle ones etc but I like the straight silicone ones because they fit between my mouth and helmet chin bar better. I wear an HJC and don't have much space either. They are silicone so once you get it into your mouth it flexes into the right position. Works for me.

Camelback Location Option

I hang my Camelpack from the left handle bar on my Spyder RT. I bought about 18 inches of tubing and a connector from REI so I can drink from the pack while riding. Works quite well.

If anyone's interested in the System my wife sells its $75 for everything but the 1 gallon cooler. The 1 gallon coolers are available at Walmart for $8 but would cost me $20 to ship it that why it's not included. It a great system and for the price you can't go wrong. It comes with the Bag for the cooler in Black, Red or Grey and 2 straps to secure the bag to the bike. Also includes the Hydration tubing and a retractable lanyard for the drink tubing. You can hook it to yourself or to the bike to keep the tube from flailing around. She has to make Can Am bags different because of the passenger floorboards.
