• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Total detail job

OK so my wife said to me Friday "You need to wax that thing it is dull looking".

Saturday morning I started on it. It looked good to begin with but she was right. When I washed it water did not bead so there was never any wax on this spyder. Also nook and cranny's had dirt, rims were dirty on the inside, and the plastic / vinyl was just dull looking.

I spent 5 hours doing a total detail. To me waxing a spyder is a lot more work that waxing a car due to all the angles, nooks, etc.. It looks brand new like it was just assembled. I touched pretty much every thing you could get to!
What a work out... I am SORE having used muscles I have not used in a while.

Darth is now all dressed up with EVERYWHERE to go :)

I used this stuff.

If your paint has never been waxed before and possibly has a little oxidation, this works great.

If your just doing a wax job use Turtle Wax Ice.

Also my personal opinion. DO NOT use Armor All on your plastics/vinyls. Tires is OK.
I use Tru-Vinyl which is a cleaner and does not leave an oil behind like Armor All does.
Use it very sparingly. Just enough to clean it. You don't want to lather the stuff on.

Finally lesson learned here. A lint free cloth for buffing! The tuperware (plastic) develops a static charge and just collects the link like a magnet! I must of gotten static zapped 10 times buffing it out. At least here in Ca. with the dry air we have.

Have to agree on the armour all , although I mentioned it in another post, it was in general terms, as I prefer a rubber/plastic rejuvenator that a lot of auto parts shops sell. When I was in the auto detailing business I used 3m but there is many good products out there.

Good job..!!

I'm in San Diego..!! But I do my own regularly. Found "Plexus" to work great. Spray on wipe off usually after long rydes. She's black and always shines...yours looks amazing now keep it that way or you'll be sent out to do it again....:2thumbs:
