• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Torque value

There you have it....

:agree: Many torque spec's are based on the bolt type and size. If you get a chart, usually in the shop manual front pages, you can see what you need. Well that is if you can determine the type and size. From years of doing this I work more on snug + 1/4, 1/2 turn more. I usually only use the torque wrench on engine rebuilds..

There are several charts available on google images, such as this one.METRIC.jpg

I agree with Chupaca--some of the torque BRP specs seem to be on the low end---my center handlebar mount is at 30 lbs torque with blue loctite. When I removed the bolts--the torque between the 4 bolts was very uneven with some much higher than 30# torque.
