• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Torque value

The Drain Plug (engine & oil tank) Spec is 20N*m (12 lbf*ft)

Torque wrenches on this engine are essential.

Not to be picky here but the spec in the manual is 20 N*m or 15 lbf*ft.

Since 15 lbf*ft would be on the very low end, or below the allowable operating range of most lbf*ft torque wrenches, I would convert it to lbf*in and use an "inch pound" torque wrench. The 15 lbf*ft converts to 180 lbf*in which would be more in the middle range of most "inch pound" torque wrenches.

A caution that has been stated on this forum many times -- the oil tank and engine drain plugs require a 6mm hex. Insert the hex all the way and hold it there while breaking the drain plugs loose. If the hex is not fully inserted and solid, it may strip the plug. Some have inadvertently used a torx insert which may feel tight but will quickly strip the hex plug as soon as you put any torque on it. The filter bolts require a 5mm hex.
