• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

top side panel removal

I am new to this forum. I just purchased a 2014 RT. Trying to figure out what kind of tool I need to remove the fasteners on the top side panel. It's not hex or torx. Any suggestions?
Appreciate any input.

most bolts are torx or push pins if you are talking about the two chrome bolts on the bottom part of the panel, they are not bolts, they push into grommets

DO NOT try to unscrew those two silver torx screws. As John said they are pushed into the grommet. Read your manual and learn how to remove the panels correctly

Hey guys, thanks so much for the feedback. I did look at the manual but must have missed that. I will get a shop Manual. Thanks again.

Are you talking about the panel you remove to get at the oil filter? If so, the black screws are Torx. I picked up a set from Harbor Freight couple years ago...pretty cheap. Haven't tried it but theres one in the tool kit that might fit.
