Well, of course there's "How much?"

I don't know why that question irritates me more than the silly ones (really, when asked about anything I think it's rude. Close in inappropriateness to asking someone their salary. My $0.02)

Recently, believe it or not, I was asked "Are you gonna put a sidecar on it?" :

Mostly I get "what is it?", "who makes it?" "where can I get one and how?". Then of course there is "how fast does it go?" LOL. Then they get around to price, etc.

From a lot of bikers I get, "How does it handle (take, react in, etc.) the corners?"
Plus all the ones that have been mentioned except for the backwards wheelie one.
Usually, whenever someone asks me how much it costs they try to be tactful about it or ask if I mind telling them how much it is. I guess that doesn't bother me as the cost is common knowledge, unlike someone's salary.

Also,
What size engine?
What's the gas mileage?
Is it rear or front wheel drive?
Does it lean?
Does it handle more like a bike or more like a car?
What colors does it come in?
Do they make more than one model?
Do you shift gears?

My favorite question has been. "Is that street legal" while I am sitting there at a gas station off a main highway.

I get alot of the "does is steer from the back?" question
About 25% of the time the cops pull me over (to see what it is), they'll ask "is it fast?"
Like I'll give them a straight answer on that one.

The Most Question i get is do you need a motorcycle license. and how fast does it go.

"What the #$%! is THAT thing!!?" or "What the #$%! IS that thing!!?"

Yesterday I stayed in one place to long.
Q: I flew a plane with one wheel in the back -----I bet this thing is unstable like that.
A: Its not to bad now that I took off the wings.
Q: Is it one of those gray market bikes ????
A: Yes it is --its made in Canada --like the BMW made in Germany ----that means gray right?----or do they call it silver.
Q: Can you get a license.
A: Yes you can --- I picked this one with a secret code on it.
I am always willing to answer questions until someone's attitude changes into a butt head. Then I misunderstand the question with a smile.

Adding a recent question posed by a local gov-ment official:

Yesterday, I parked it straight in on a lined and slanted single city parking space. Male meter maid drove up and asked, "Whoa, what is that thing, it's not in our regs yet?" Explained it was registered as a cycle. "Then," he said, "you need to park it with the back tire touching the curb, even in the slanted single space." As an afterthought, he asked, "Does it have a reverse? 'Cause if it has a reverse gear, you can probably park it straight in, like a car. But hey, what do I know?"

Our tax dollars at work.

(In case you're wondering, this incident happened somewhere in California, but I'd prefer not to say exactly where. I don't wish to invite scrutiny by the local parking constabulary.)
