Mine is installed behind the BRP back rest. It sits on a GIVI locking plate, which sits on a steel rack with brackets made by a former spyderlover member. The whole assy. pops off in seconds, if I want to ride alone.

The GIVI plate that the top case locks into is a GIVI E250.

The welded plate has 90 degree angles that attach to the back rest, and was made by a former member, whom I dealt with over the internet. You'll notice there are aluminum sleeves between the angles and back rest, which position the rack past the curve of the back rest; longer bolts replaced the OEM ones. At the bottom of the welded rack are a couple of RAM mounts, which take the pressure off the bolts connected to the back rest.

I made a rack that is similar for travel bags....

the rack mounted to the back rest..

short trip bag from Kuryakyn..

long trip bag also from Kuryakyn...:thumbup: only use it for traveling...
