There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Top case or saddlebag kit?

Looking to add a little extra storage space to my ST-S. If I had to choose one what'd day think. Top case or saddlebag kit?

Here's what I do..!!

depending on how much how often would help. I love the look of the roadster bare bones so side bags are out. You now have the option of the non adjustable backrest with the trunk. This would be used when needed, works for me. They did not offer this when I was looking so I made my own

Woulf love to know how you made this and or if your selling them?

The brp saddlebag kit comes off completely with a quick key quarter turn of 3 bolts. The only noticeable difference is the relocated blinkers but I like them higher and more noticeable to ppl behind me. I think its corbin that makes a side and top bag thst looks realy realy well together just dont know how detachable it is

I have the limited which came with the saddle bags. It's really impressive how quickly you can take the bags and brackets off when they aren't needed. I actually think the bike looks better with the bags installed it makes the rear more proportional to the front. I would like the top case but I haven't convinced myself it's worth the cash yet. Would like to see one in person first. From what I can tell from online research the top case is quickly detachable from the rack it's mounted to but the rack requires tools to remove from the backrest (and it looks weird without the case on it). If you have the backrest already it's cheaper to just get the topcase. If you don't have the backrest and don't want/need one it's within $100 between the saddle bags and the backrest/topcase. IMHO it might look strange with the topcase and no saddle bags but I haven't seen it in person

I have a ST S and purchased the saddle bag kit off of amazon as I was looking for the best price. Relatively easy to install and have had a few comments about people liking the look of them. Adds more storage and also raises the turn signals on the back which I think makes them more visible. As others have stated can remove off the bike very easily and take inside a hotel or home without removing all of the contents.

One thing worth mentioning is you get more than double the storage space with the saddlebags. 68 liters vs 33 liters and based off of retail list price you're within $150 cost difference between the two AND the saddlebags have been available for a while and are available at discounted prices whereas the topcase is new and they're still trying to get full retail

top case v saddle bags

You state that the top case was $499, but what was the cost of the rack that you had to mount it too ?

Side cases offer:
1. More security
2. Lower center of gravity
3. Better looks (IMHO)
Take them off at night, or better yet, get the GIVI bags that match, and just take them in the motel.

I got the top case. That cost $499 where the saddlebags were $1,000+.
SO you already had the one piece non-adjustable back rest?

You can take the top case off the same way as the saddlebags.

Yes, needed the backrest for the wife. She's feels 100% more comfortable riding with me now. :D

Can you post a picture when you get a chance? I am also thinking of getting the top case. Did you purchase them through Can Am or on Ebay? Any discounts?
