:agree: ..... I recall hearing that that size will hold two FF helmets ..... and it will way less expensive than the OEM one ..... Ive added hard top cases to both my GS and RSS & it didn't require a BRP rack to do it .... both had Passenger backrest pads .... I got both on E-bay and paid less than $ 100 each ..... good luck .... Mike .....PS paint to match, because there is a separation of the parts - if the paint color is close it will work. ..... :thumbup:

I've got a SHAD 58X (expandable) top case on my 2021 RT. It's bigger than the OEM version and cost way less. I had to mount it to a QLinq rack but that was just a matter of drilling a few holes. I can remove the top case in about 5 seconds and the QLinq rack in another few seconds and reinstall the OEM color matched cover (which has a wrap around LED flashing brake light that plugs into the OEM harness). I thought about buying the OEM top case but everything included I've got less than 1/2 the cost. I don't know what you can store in the SHAD 40 but if you expand the SHAD 58X, you can easily hold (2) full face/modular helmets. I've got a thread on this somewhere on the forum.

I think the givi 47 liter top case is about the exact same size as the OEM top case on the 2020+ RT Limited. I am searching for a used one right now to mount on my 2016 BMW K1600B. If I cannot find one in the next few weeks, I will bite the bullet and buy a new one.

On my 2020, I opted for a smaller 42 liter topcase (paid $100 or so from Shad direct). I can fit my full face helmet and lots of other junk in there no problem. I use it mainly to hold my gloves and a place to put my helmet during riding breaks and meal stops.

Bought it from the dealer so I got a discount. But it's the OEM model for the base RT. I added the silver wrap. I bought mine, with discount, for $1,500 plus tax. It's pricier now.

The Shad SH40 only holds 1 full-face lid. It's big enough to hold a week's worth of gear/cloths for a solo tourer when I had it on my 2-wheeler. I think you need 50+L for 2 lids.
