Top Box Gaz Shock

Anyone having an issue with their gaz shock holding the top box lid open? The shock will keep the lid open, but just barely. I have to push the lid to the full open position before it will hold. I would assume that as soon as the the lid is unlatached, the gaz shock should push the lid all of the way open.

I had the dealer replace it last season, but it seems like it works the same. Maybe he didnt replace it? :dontknow:

This could be about the same issue as the gas strut that holds the seats up... :shocked: Why not unbolt it, and hit an AutoZone Store (Or it's equivalent); They might be able to match it up to something that they've got in stock with a bit more "oomph " to it.
