Top Box added to my 2018 F3T
When I was looking to change my RT for an F3 I could have gone for an F3Ltd but decided to go with the F3T as it was a cheaper option also I wanted to fit a top box that could be removed easily
I don’t carry a passenger so rear speakers were not needed
I’ve gone with a Shad 58X 3 way expanding from 46L to 52L up to 58L
The BRP 2018 specs shows the F3LTD has a cargo capacity of 133L and the F3T as 78L so if I set the Shad 58X top box up to 58L this will give a total capacity of 136L
I didn’t go for the BRP Top Box due to the cost
2019 Price for BRP Top Case £1.449 (it comes in black) and to add the White Colour panel kit £189
Total = £1,638
Shad 58X Top box £229 from e bay, White Colour top panel from Shad UK £52
(It came with a Carbon Fibre top but I wanted to get a White top to match my F3T)
Rack from Ca-Am Spyder Accessories (Canada) £250 + £28 import duty
Total = £559
A saving of £1,079
I drilled 6 holes in the Rack and using Stainless Steel Nyloc nuts, Bolt & Washers secured the Shad 58X Top box mounting plate, this allows the Top Box to removed in Seconds once its unlocked from the base mounting plate
