• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tooting my own horn here - my Elka II Rear shock install went well!

Bought my Elka II Rear shock a few months back and was anticipating (and a little dreading as well, LOL) the install. Now, with Fall weather here, cooler temps, and with a few down riding days, it was a good day for the install. Fingers Crossed big time! 🤞

I'm not new at removing all the tupperware, done it many times in the past, so that made it quite a bit quicker. All in all, it took me roughly 3 & 1/2 hours, start to finish, with a much needed quick coffee break in between.

My dreaded install turned out to be pretty smooth. I even took it for a nice little ride thereafter to check out the new install and enjoy the
breeze.

Many thanks to the Forum members, who, with their input and install suggestions, made for a pretty easy process.

I have found that all the things I've have done with my Spyders that I thought was going to be a PITA, really wasn't as bad as I dreamed they would be! Enjoy your new ride!!!!
So true! Looking back at all I have installed/replaced before on my 1st Spyder, this was just another day after all. Always glad when its Completed! A great sense of accomplishment.

Mikey, I recall using your Bypass method when my ACS went out on my 1st Spyder. Was extremely helpful!

Too bad more people would not drink the water, they would have a happier wallet!! (y)

I have to save up for 2 rear shocks. One for both mine and the wife's bikes. I'm weary of going over bumps because the stock shock thumps against the plastic. Hopefully it's not damaged. I'm hoping the install goes smooth.
