• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

took my wife on a yarn crawl

Nice way to get a few miles in and make the wife happy also. Nothing wrong with getting double duty out of a ride.

My wife's favorite wool shop is a little over 1hr away.
Its country riding with farms and stuff - well thats the norm around here I confess, couple of cafes along the way. What a hardship.

But I am very happy to take the wife on the ride.

Happy wife....

That was one weird looking boomerang.
Now my wife is thinking more about being a passenger.

The video was great and it brought back memories of visiting my parents in Dunedin and my in-laws in Clearwater.
That was back about 20 years ago.

should be another fun day

A couple of years ago we had the bike up in PA somewhere near Lancaster while we were camping. We were driving along and she whacks me in the head and starts yelling "Yarn store, yarn store". I executed a hasty 180 and pulled into the place, which didnt look like much more than a house along the road. But wifey was happy, so that's what matters. And yes, I've heard of yarn crawls where they visit all the stores in an area, but unlike bars they tend to have some distance between them.

If yours is like mine, she probably has more yarn than she could knit with for years and t shirts that say "Yarn is cheaper than therapy".
