• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Too many Vibes

How come the RTS/SE5 has all the same engine vibes as the average V-Twin motorcycle engine ? Is this because it IS a V-Twin ? LOL. I also have an 09 Suzuki Burgman 650, and the transmission is as smooth as my 07 Toyota Avalon. I was told that Suzuki has counter balancers on their scooters. If this is so, why can't they do the same for the CanAm's ? If the CanAm had Suzuki's Burgman Transmissions, it would be as smooth as the Honda Goldwings, which I have had also. I just don't want to push around a heavy machine anymore. I also tried the cruise control, and it worked. I am impressed. Also, I don't have the stalling at light problem anymore. (Knock on Wood) . The day isn't over yet. LOL. As I said in my last post, I believe it is caused by hard fast braking. If you gear down yourself in a hard brake situation, it shouldn't happen. I guess the transmission can't adjust to fast braking without the possibility of stalling.

Hi from OZ, I do not know what you call the vibes, but my new 2010 has just come back from the dealer, because the vibration was so bad, Can Am tech drove it, the garage mechanic drove it, both said it is better than the average, so that said something about the others out there. I said rubbish I have been in R&D engineering for 30 years and I think the front stay maybe touching the frame, it is well documented, and I am not going anywhere until the front comes off to check, an hr later they had to eat humble pie, and grind clearence for the stay bolt, unfortunatly not quite enough, but it has improved the vibration dramaticaly, only under quite a bit of labouring does it now show up, I am going to send for a belt tensioner and I think we will be getting to the bottom of the vibes, but never as good as the Burgman which I also owned last year. all the best with the vibes, Don
